Birthday Anniversary.

Today is my one week birthday anniversary so I thought I'd celebrate with a blog post from my actual birthday. Jerry had to leave for work early in the morning so he couldn't spend the first half of my birthday with me. Boo. But honestly, I was totally okay with that because instead, I spent the whole day taking extra exxxxtra long to get ready for our date that night. And I say "extra long" as in like... 4-5 hours. LOL. Is that crazy or what? I don't even know how I did that. But it was kinda nice to just go about my day, taking my time to look pretty. I mean, I took a shower, painted my nails, curled my hair, and of course, had to do my makeup. It was a productive day.

Jerry also surprised me with a bunch of little activities he had prepared in advance to keep me busy until he got home. As soon as I woke up, there was a note that basically just smothered me with happiness. Then I went out into the living room and there were balloons everywhereeeee. Like, how on earth did he have time to do that in the morning before work? Superman skills I tell ya. The balloons also had little notes in them that I needed to put together in order to figure out where we were going for our date that night. Popping balloons scare me to death! But I was on a mission so it made it a little easier to get the task done I guess haha. Then I had a scavenger hunt to find a surprise that he had tucked away somewhere. It was a huuuuge popcorn bucket with a bunch of my favorite candy inside. Ummmm YES. I love popcorn! Especially when its paired with a good chick flick. Yes. Yes. Yes. 

Jerry finally got home later that afternoon and we headed out to dinner. We both ordered steak and also scallops as an appetizer. Honestly, I wish I would have just gotten the scallops as my main meal because they were amaaazing! Who knew scallops could be so good? The steak was pretty dang delicious too though so no complaints there. Then we went out and got me a personal sized strawberry cheese cake. Uh... I probably gained about 10 pounds that day. But anywho, it was a great birthday. The next day we hung out with my bro and his lady friend and we played some games. They even bought me a cake. Sweeeeet. Birthdays are the best.

24 yo. It's gonna be a good year!

That's how old the dear husband will be tomorrow! Or today. Depends on when you read this. Either way I have some big plans for him guys! Kinda... But it's a secret so I'm not tellin any of ya. At least not right now. I'll be posting pictures after the big event. Happy almost birthday dear! And for many more to come <3

Husband took me out to sushi the other night for my belated birthday dinner. We ate at "Takashi" which is supposed to be the best restaurant in Salt Lake City, and i have to admit... it was daaang good. Then we walked around City Creek and did some window shopping.

me: isn't it kinda.....  expensive?

jerry: oh, don't worry honey. I make the big bucks!

Oh momentous day. Today I turn 22.

22 guys! Am I old or what? Hah.... okay just kidding. Now you're all rolling your eyes at me. But seriously, it's been quite the year. I'd also like to add that this was my first birthday ever with husband and I'm sooo excited for more to come. I love birthdays! Not just my own, but others' too. Growing up, it's always been quite the thing to celebrate and I think that's the way it should be. The opportunity to celebrate YOUR special day, every year, on the same exact day, with the people you love most. Now that, is awesome. Especially when mama, pops, husband, and oh so lovely friends send you little letters and gifts to remind you that it's your birthday. I'm so loved guys! It's kinda overwhelming. How did I get so lucky to be surrounded by this many wonderful people? Thank you dear family and friends for wishing me a happy birthday and for making this day a memorable one! [me = blessed]
