The craziest snow day. We actually only got a couple of inches- - if that to be honest. So what made it so crazy? Well, it all started when it began to snow on a late Saturday evening. Jerry and I like to hide out in our cave and ignore the world sometimes so were completely unaware of what nature had been doing outside of our walls. Sunday morning came. The alarm went off, I snoozed it, let it ring again, snoozed it again (don't judge), and then finally got up to begin getting ready for church. About 10 minutes into my "getting ready" process, Jerry checked his email to find the most shocking news ever. Not really, but it was pretty surprising. He had gotten an email saying that church had be canceled for the day. That's right, canceled. Whaaaaat? I know. That seriously. never. happens. Now at this point, Jerry and I still hadn't realized that it had been snowing the night before so we had no idea why church was cancelled. After a phone call or two, we were finally informed that it had snowed the night before and therefore, church was canceled for the day. As soon as I heard the news, I yelped for joy and rushed over to the windows to look outside, and there it was. White roof tops. My favorite. I still couldn't believe that they had canceled church just because of the couple inches of snow. It's quite funny actually, considering when we were in Utah, we'd get triple the amount of snow and nothing would shut down. Nothing. So that's the crazy snow day story. My first snow day ever. And it was a good one too.

Hahaha Connor tells me all the time how Seattlites freak out any time it snows because they don't know how to drive in it. Like people will literally leave their car on the side of the highway and walk home. Haha
ReplyDeleteHahaha.. that's Seattle for you... us Seattleites don't even know how to drive in rain or sun! Let alone snow (even a few inches). I stay home from work if it was 3+ inches! HA!

Well, you can come to Utah. We are full of snow allllll winter long! haha
ReplyDeleteMy parents (in Portland) were acting like a couple inches of snow was the end of the world, haha. They had to make a trip to Costco and stock up before the "big storm" hit, lol. I remember school shutting down when it snowed an inch...so different from Utah!
