The other day, -yesterday actually, I took a test where I had to write some essays in Japanese. One of the questions were, what's your favorite hobby, and why? So I sat there and thought, hobbies? I don't have any hobbies. It took me about a good minute or so before I realized that blogging is currently one of my favorite hobbies. Duh Marsa. So that's what I wrote about. Blogging.
Blogging has been interesting. I used to think that blogging was weird. I only started this blog to keep family and friends updated with my new life with Jerry. But that didn't go too well for the first several months. I updated posts about once a month and all i wrote were things like.. hi, so this is what we did today and it was sooo fun! Also, I am still madly in love Jerry. The End. And that's how things were for a while around here. *yawn*
Then one day, I had some random thoughts floating around in my head that I didn't know how to sort out. I tried writing them down in my little ghetto notebook but that didn't seem too satisfactory. So I stopped. And I was stumped. I was stumped for a good couple of days actually. Until one day, I had one of those Ah-Hah! -moments. And I ended up here, on this blog. I wrote and wrote and wrote for about an hour or so and after I got it all out, it felt good. Real good. And ever since, I've fallen in love with this little blog of ours.
So why do I blog? I blog because it's been a way for me to express myself. I blog because I like reading and being inspired by stories written by others. I blog because it helps me to see how I've changed as a person, and also how Jerry and I have grown through our marriage. Lately I've been forgetting why I started this blog. I've been focusing on other aspects of blogging that didn't even occur to me when I first started writing (followers, money, sponsors, etc). So it's been nice to remember why I even started all of this and why I continue to do it. I blog because I love it.
and i hope to continue loving it :)
