Seattle no more: a quickie

Hi! It's Marsa again.
Has it been a month yet? Probably. So I thought I'd stop being lazy and update this blog again since a thing or two has happened since the last few posts. I still have some things to post from when my parents flew into town a few weeks ago for the bro's graduation. But those will have to wait I guess. But if you didn't already know, Jerry and I were in Utah last week to visit his side of the family. We just got back last night in fact. Here's some photos from the first day there. Jerry's not in them because I decided that I wanted to hang out with some of my favorite girlfriends. It was a "no boys allowed" type of situation. So he got the boot. <3 But he liked having time with his family anyway. And hey, you might even recognize a few of these girls.

^ ^  and a big thank you to anthro for providing this beautiful mirror for the perfect mirror selfie ^ ^

^ ^ someone did not get the "cute face photo" memo. #fail ^ ^

^ ^  ariel is an elephant loving weirdo and i totally love her for it :D  ^ ^

^ ^  lauren is secretly the slightest bit asian which means she's awesome!  ^ ^

^ ^ rachel is just all around adorable and one of the sweetest people i know ^ ^

aaaaaand that's a wrap for day 1.
miss these girls already.

oh and of course, happy 4th everyone!

And the winter break photos continue.

lots of photos today.
finally.
because i happen to be the slowest person when it comes to uploading pictures.

I mentioned before in a few posts back that over winter break, I was able to spend new years in Japan with some family members of mine. Going to Japan has always been a family tradition ever since I was little so I'm glad that I was able to participate in the tradition one more time- - hopefully not the last. Visiting Japan is one of my favorite things to do for a few reasons (food, shopping, sightseeing), but my favorite part is spending time with family. As cliche as that sounds, it's true. Sitting in a warm kotatsu watching tv, walking around the park, and eating bentos on the train. Those are my favorite memories. Now unfortunately, Jerry wasn't able to come with me to this time. So as fun as it was, he was very much so missed. Obviously. I guess we'll just have to go another time ;)

Just in case you were wondering what Hawaii looks like during the winter.

^^ these good lookin folks are my family (minus a few) ^^

There you go.

Well, Jerry and I are back home in Washington now and I kinda have major jet lag. First we flew to Hawaii, stayed for a week, then Jerry flew back home while I flew to Japan, then I flew back to Hawaii for just a few more days, and now I'm back home with my hubs again. So ya, I have some major jet lag. So bad that I slept 12 hours straight yesterday and I'm still tired. Now that's talent. Just sayin.

part uno of winter travels. complete.

This is where we're at.

Tanning outside in the yard because I'm too ashamed to show the world my whiteness. Living in Seattle for some time will do that to you I guess. Also, winter break is short and I don't want to spend too much of that time blogging so I'll be having a few really fun guest bloggers for you during the next couple of weeks. You'll love um. I promise.

but if you'd like, you can stay updated with our Japan and Hawaii adventures through my instagram.

see ya there! <3

loving this, and this

The weekend was good.

top: free people c/o pb&j boutique   l   shorts: a&f   l   swimsuit: c/o beverly swim

and that is all.

Saturday was a family beach day. We went to North Shore, got some Kahuku shrimp for lunch, and did some deep water snorkeling. Then after my vampire skin was done getting sunburned, we finished the day off with some shave ice. That stuff is gee-oh-oh-deeee good. Just the way I like it. And then once we got back into town, me and my mama got our nails done. We're princesses.

and don't forget about the $200 cash giveaway of course <3
