Being grown up means..

I get to wear some bold lipstick. when. ever. i. want.
Growing up, my mom never really liked me and my sister wearing make-up. And to be honest, she probably still doesn't like me wearing a whole lot. Which is totally fine, because I don't like wearing too much anyway. But once in a while, you have to admit, it's fun to get all fancy and put on a red lip. Ya know what I meeeean? It's definitely a necessary step when becoming a grown up. At least I think so.

    Cutting my hair short made me wear bold lipstick... I guess I was afraid people might not realize I'm a girl! But in other news... you look AMAZING! But in a really pretty sort of way, these are beautiful photographs of you! So at least your mom can take comfort in that... you pull off pretty over sexualized :P (or that's my theory as to why moms don't like daughters to wear makeup).

    To echo all the other comments, you look amazing! And your hair, per usual, looks gorgeous! I would love to know what you do to it to achieve this look. I'm guessing a large barrel iron and then finger-combing through to loosen the waves? Beautiful!

    Of all things I enjoy, I love wearing a bold lip color for makeup. =) It's definitely a fun perk as an adult. My mom also didn't like me wearing makeup but that meant I usually wore it at school. haha. Bad.

    I don't put make-up on but my parents even don't like powder and stuff. Or nail polish. But in some times I do like wearing some red lipstick :)
