My First Fall.

 ^ ^ costco, we love you. ^ ^

I consider this to be my first fall. And now, some of you are thinking "but you lived in Utah for 4 years!" Yes, that is true. And I used to think that I was experiencing fall while living there too. But since moving to Washington and experiencing the weather change this past month, I've realized that this, this is fall. Week after week of 50-65 degree weather and still no snow. In Utah, the hot summers last for about 4-5 months, and then fall lasts for a whopping 2-3 weeks. Maybe. And then the temperature drops to 20 degrees. And it starts to snow. And then the snow melts. And then the weather is amazing for 3 days. And then it snows again. And so on and so on. NO. That is not fall. That is just the bipolar weather switching from summer to winter. Not fall. I keep looking at the weather forecast expecting it to suddenly drop to 30 degrees the next day. Living in Utah for a long time will do that to you. But here, I have yet to be disappointed in that department. So thank you Washington. Thank you for teaching me what fall really is.

p.s.... we have lots of squirrels here.

p.p.s. there's a date night giveaway going on H E R E.

  5. Yes, Utah is weird. Our leaves are barely starting to turn yellow in Salt Lake but we got a dusting of snow a long time ago. Too weird.

  8. ohmygosh. so jealous that you get to experience fall. I'm literally on the opposite side of the country and guess what? We don't have fall either. Just blazing hot summer, then it gets freezing from Dec-Feb, then back to summer again.

Maybe I should move to Washington too, yes?

  11. I miss fall in PNW!! You should be glad you're not home. It's humid & warm. Bleh. Not much tradewinds here. Enjoy the colored leaves & stomping on them. That was definitely my favorite :)

  12. I'm so jealous that you live in Washington! The only thing stopping us from moving up North is my family (we are still trying to talk them into it (; ). Anyway keep posting all these pretty pictures lady!

  13. Hey - I just discovered your blog. This post has made me super jealous of your fall - I just can't wait to being to crunch in the dry leaves on the sidewalk, but I guess I'll just have to keep waiting.
