Light Packing & Traveling.

i have no clothes.

top: japan, similar   l   skirt: f21, smiliar

I tried really hard to pack light for this trip and I did a pretty good job I think. Problem is though, at times I feel like I have nothing to wear. And usually at those times, I really don't.

But besides that, we've been in Australia for about 4 days now and sometimes I feel like we're still somewhere in the states. Well, at least until we start driving on the other side of the road, or I hear someone speaking with an Aussie accent that is- - aye, good mornin' mate! (okay fine, I have not heard any Aussie say that yet. but you get the point). We've also done some babysitting for Jerry's sister while she was gone for a weekend getaway with her hubs. They've got some cute kids. And they're fun to hang out with. Butttt... It's definitely made me appreciate this time that I have with Jerry. Just Jerry. Just me & Jerry. The two of us. Kids will come along someday. But as for right now, "just us" sounds just about right.

  7. That top is quite adorable! Looks like you found some wonderful things in Japan! And sounds like you are having a blast Down Under! :)

Haha, there is a reason that my sister and I always called baby-sitting PBC (permanent birth control), even if the kids are cute! Good mind set of enjoying this time together!

  10. Marsa! I love this outfit! I'm totally copying it...just fyi:) I'm so glad you are having such a good time! Isn't it funny how babysitting makes you appreciate your time without kids? Yes, I'm not married yet, but working with kids every single day definitely helps eases the desire to have some cuties as soon as I'm married. Yes, they are adorable, but goodness, they are a lot of work!!

  11. I agree! It's great to work on your relationship with the hubby first before all those kids come along :)

  12. Haha, getting to see what it's like to have kids, huh? Well, they'll come in time - for now, definitely enjoy your time together! :)
Jealous about the Aussie accents. I love hearing them. We actually get a few of those out here in Idaho. I remember coming across one who was base jumping and my friend and I talked with him as we walked up to the site where he was jumping. He stood on the ledge, gave us a little salute, said, "See ya," and then jumped off backwards 0_o Talk about making an impression!
Anyway, looks like you found something to wear. I like this polka dot blouse a lot!

  22. packing light is tough! Love the skirt! hope you are having a fabulous vacation!

  23. Yes, packing light IS tough, but the feeling of NOT having to lug around a ton of stuff is SO liberating. My husband has taught me the art of packing light (no more packing 8 pairs of shoes for a 48 hour trip), and I've gotta say...his way is the BEST and EASIEST way. When we went to Fiji in March I packed two dresses, three skirts, and a couple blouses and was good to go. Granted, we were only there for seven days. We'll be in Portugal for 3 weeks in June/July, so it's gonna be a bit harder for me to not get bored with what I pack! HAVE FUN! BE SAFE!

  28. Love the outfit! That skirt is too cute! I grew up in Australia and I miss it so much! It's true that it's really not that different from the states except for the places where there are kangaroos everywhere. I used to live in an area like that. It was awesome :)
